Second Annual Colorado Cyberschool Hike Day An Enjoyable and Worthwhile Event
On September 15, 2012, online students, families, and teachers from around the state gathered to enjoy hiking with each other and participate in a fundraiser supporting search and rescue teams in Colorado. The annual hike takes place during Recreational Safety Awareness Week and is dedicated to the memory Jaryd Atadero, a three-year old who went missing in the Colorado wilderness while on a hike at the age of three.
Hike sites included the Waterton Canyon Trail (Littleton), the Lost Lake Trail (Grand Junction), the North Cheyenne Canon Park (Colorado Springs), and the Devil's Backbone (Loveland)
In this video invitation, Chuck Wolfe explains more about the hike.
